Why the ±1% tolerance matters more than the reference voltage
The TL432AIDBZTG4 is a Texas Instruments adjustable shunt voltage reference with a ±1% tolerance on the internal 2.495 V reference. That 1% band is what decides whether your feedback loop holds the output rail tight enough for an ADC reference or a precision regulator — the 2.495 V number is just the starting point. It delivers up to 100 mA output current and needs at least 700 µA cathode current to stay in regulation. The bias resistor from the supply to the cathode must be sized so that at minimum load the cathode current stays above 700 µA, or the shunt drops out and the output voltage drifts.
