The TL431AILPR: The ±1% tolerance on the internal reference means the output voltage at the regulation point will be within 1% of the programmed value without trimming.
The TO-92-3 package with formed leads is a through-hole part that survives hot-air rework without drama — the leads are thick enough to take a few desolder cycles without lifting the pad. The shunt topology means no bypass capacitor is required at the reference pin.
Both are adjustable shunt references in the TO-92-3 package. The AILPR also carries a tighter ±1% tolerance versus the standard ±2% on the ACLPR. If your board sees outdoor or factory-floor temperatures, the AILPR is the correct choice.
