That's tight enough for a precision feedback loop in an off-line power supply or an isolated DC-DC converter, where a 2% part would push the output regulation past the spec limit.
Output current and cathode current — what they limit
The device can sink up to 100 mA through the cathode, which sets the ceiling for driving an optocoupler LED or a small-signal transistor base. The minimum cathode current is 600 µA — below that the reference drops out of regulation. In practice, bias the cathode at 1 mA to 10 mA for stable operation across temperature.
