Its minimum output voltage is fixed at 2.495 V, and with a ±1% tolerance grade, the output stays within 24.7 mV of the target at 25 °C — tight enough for precision bias supplies and error-amplifier references in switch-mode power supplies.
Output current and cathode current — sizing the load
Rated for 100 mA continuous output current, this shunt regulator can sink enough current to bias an optocoupler LED or power a small reference load. The minimum cathode current is 600 µA, which sets the floor for the bias resistor in the shunt path — below that the reference loses regulation.
SOT-23-5 package and tape-and-reel delivery
Housed in a SOT-23-5 package (SC-74A, SOT-753), the part is suited for compact surface-mount layouts.
