Precision 5V shunt reference in a small SOT-23-3
Typical applications include precision data converters, battery-powered instrumentation, and portable test equipment where a stable, low-noise reference voltage is needed. As a shunt reference, it behaves like a Zener diode — it requires an external series resistor to bias the cathode current, which is set at 80 µA typical. The output current capability is 15 mA, sufficient to drive the reference input of most ADCs and DACs without additional buffering.
