The TL082IPWR: The 3 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 13V/µs slew rate define the small-signal and large-signal bandwidth limits. For a unity-gain buffer, the -3 dB point sits near 3 MHz; at higher gains the closed-loop bandwidth drops proportionally. The 13V/µs slew rate means a 10 V peak-to-peak output swing slews in under 1.5 µs — sufficient for audio-frequency waveforms and moderate-speed sensor conditioning, but not for video or fast pulse amplification.
JFET input — 30 pA bias for high-impedance sources
The JFET input stage draws 30 pA typical input bias current. This suits front-end circuits that interface with high-impedance sensors — photodiodes, piezoelectric transducers, or pH probes — where bipolar input bias would create unacceptable voltage drops across the source resistance. The 3 mV input offset voltage sets the DC accuracy floor; for precision DC applications, external nulling or a lower-offset grade may be needed.
The TL082IPWR operates from a total supply span of 10 V to 30 V — compatible with ±5 V to ±15 V split supplies or a single 10 V to 30 V rail. Each amplifier draws 1.4 mA quiescent current, so the dual-channel total is 2.8 mA.
