The Texas Instruments TL082ACP is a JFET-input dual operational amplifier in an 8-pin DIP package (8-DIP, 0.300" body width). It delivers a 13V/µs slew rate and 3 MHz gain-bandwidth product, with a typical input bias current of 30 pA — the JFET input stage keeps the bias floor low for high-impedance signal conditioning. Each of the two amplifiers draws 1.4 mA supply current. The output can source or sink 10 mA per channel. Supply span runs from 10 V to 30 V total.

For new designs, a pin-compatible JFET dual op-amp in the same 8-DIP footprint — such as the TL082CP or a modern equivalent from the same family — should be evaluated for fit.
What the 13V/µs slew rate and 3 MHz GBW mean for your signal chain
The 13V/µs slew rate supports full-power bandwidth up to roughly 200 kHz for a 20 Vpp output swing — adequate for audio line-level signals and low-frequency control loops. The 3 MHz gain-bandwidth product means a gain-of-10 non-inverting stage has a closed-loop bandwidth of 300 kHz; at higher gains the bandwidth narrows proportionally. The 30 pA bias current is low enough that it does not dominate error in most high-impedance sensor interfaces.
