TL072ACDE4 — JFET op-amp at end-of-life
This is the final production window — TI will not manufacture this specific suffix indefinitely. The TL072ACDE4 is the 8-SOIC, commercial-temperature, tube-packaged variant.
13V/µs slew rate — bench reality
The 13V/µs slew rate is the large-signal transient response — it determines how fast the output can swing from rail to rail. For a ±15 V supply, a full 30 V p-p output step settles in about 2.3 µs. This is fast enough for audio up to the upper audible band and for moderate-speed signal chains, but it will distort fast pulse trains or high-frequency square waves above roughly 100 kHz. The 3 MHz gain-bandwidth product sets the small-signal -3 dB point; the two together define the usable frequency range for a given closed-loop gain.
