What the 1000 V/µs slew rate buys you
The THS4631DDA is a single-channel, general-purpose op-amp from Texas Instruments. Its 1000 V/µs slew rate swings a 10 V output step in about 10 ns.
Supply rails and thermal handling
This part runs on a single or split supply from 10 V to 30 V total. The 8-PowerSOIC package (0.154" wide, 3.90 mm body) has an exposed thermal pad on the bottom — the PowerPad. Without it, the 11.5 mA quiescent supply current plus the 98 mA output drive will push the junction temperature past comfortable limits in a warm enclosure. The pad also gives you a solid mechanical anchor; the part stays put under the hot-air nozzle if you ever need to lift it.
