Dual high-speed voltage-feedback amplifier for signal conditioning
Each of the two circuits delivers a 230 V/µs slew rate and a 175 MHz -3 dB bandwidth, making the part suitable for high-speed signal chains such as ADC drivers, video distribution, and pulse amplifiers. The supply range spans 10 V to 30 V, accommodating both single and split supplies without needing a regulated intermediate rail. Output current per channel is rated at 85 mA, enough to drive capacitive loads or multiple downstream stages.
For a 5 V peak-to-peak signal, the large-signal bandwidth extends well past 10 MHz before slew limiting sets in. This matters when amplifying fast edges from DACs, photodetectors, or comparator outputs where the rise time must be preserved. The dual-channel configuration saves board area compared to using two single op-amps, and the 175 MHz small-signal bandwidth keeps phase shift low in closed-loop gains up to 10 or so.
Supply flexibility and package
Rated for a supply span of 10 V to 30 V, the THS4082IDGNR works with ±5 V to ±15 V rails or a single 12 V/24 V supply. The 8-HVSSOP package (exposed pad) draws 3.4 mA per channel quiescent current, a reasonable trade-off for the speed.
