High-speed dual op-amp for wideband signal conditioning
It delivers a 310V/µs slew rate and 290 MHz gain bandwidth product, making it suitable for driving ADCs, video distribution amplifiers, and high-frequency active filters. The part operates from a 9 V to 32 V supply span and can source or sink 110 mA per channel, which is enough to drive multiple 75 Ω video lines or low-impedance loads directly.
Package and thermal considerations for the 8-HVSSOP
Housed in an 8-HVSSOP package with an exposed thermal pad, the THS4012IDGNR requires a thermal land pattern on the PCB to conduct heat away from the die. This is especially important when the amplifier is driving continuous high-output currents near the 110 mA per channel limit, as the 310V/µs slew rate generates additional internal dissipation during fast transitions. Surface-mount mounting is the only supported method.
The wide supply range from 9 V to 32 V allows it to run from common ±5 V to ±15 V dual rails or a single 12 V or 24 V supply, simplifying power rail design in mixed-signal systems.
It is ROHS3 compliant.
