CAN FD-ready transceiver in a small footprint
The Texas Instruments TCAN332GDCNR is a CAN transceiver supporting data rates up to 5 Mbps, making it suitable for CAN FD (Flexible Data Rate) networks where higher throughput is needed beyond classic 1 Mbps CAN 2.0. The SOT-23-8 package keeps board area tight, useful for space-constrained nodes like sensors or actuators in industrial and automotive environments.
If your MCU or CAN controller is 3.3V, this part mates directly without level shifting. The 5 Mbps data rate supports CAN FD, but check that your controller and the rest of the bus nodes also support that rate — mixing 5 Mbps and 1 Mbps nodes on the same segment requires careful bit-timing configuration.
