Active 3.3V CAN transceiver — no LTB clock ticking
It handles one driver and one receiver, with 120 mV of receiver hysteresis to keep the bus clean in electrically noisy environments.
3.3V supply — the 5V CAN compatibility question
It will not work directly on a 5V CAN bus without level translation — the bus pins are not 5V-tolerant at the supply rails listed. If the existing system runs a 5V CAN controller, you need a 3.3V-to-5V interface or a different transceiver. For a pure 3.3V CAN node, this part drops straight in.
Package and footprint — 8-SOIC, field-swappable
Surface-mount only, no through-hole option.
