The Texas Instruments TCAN1463DRQ1 is an automotive-grade CAN transceiver supporting data rates up to 8 Mbps for CAN FD networks.
The 8 Mbps data rate supports CAN FD frames.
Supply voltage range: 4.5 V to 40 V on the bus side
The bus-side supply (typically VCC or VIO) accepts 4.5 V to 40 V, which covers nominal 12 V and 24 V automotive systems with headroom for load-dump transients. For 3.3 V logic, a level shifter or a different transceiver variant is needed — the TCAN1463DRQ1 does not include a VIO pin for 3.3 V operation.
Package and footprint: 14-SOIC (3.90 mm width)
No exposed thermal pad — junction temperature is managed through the SOIC's leadframe and PCB copper.
It is ROHS3 compliant. The TCAN1463DRQ1 supports 8 Mbps CAN FD and is rated for 150°C junction temperature.
