CAN FD-ready transceiver for automotive and industrial buses
The TCAN1145DYYRQ1: The 135 mV receiver hysteresis gives the bus interface a clean noise margin in the presence of the common-mode disturbances found on long cable runs in motor drives and vehicle chassis harnesses.
5 Mbps and CAN FD — what the data rate means for the network
Rated at 5 Mbps, the TCAN1145DYYRQ1 supports CAN FD payloads where the data phase switches to the higher bit rate. The half-duplex line is the standard CAN topology — a differential pair with dominant/recessive bus states — so any classical CAN node on the same network arbitrates correctly. No protocol changes needed at the controller side beyond enabling FD mode.
The 4.5V to 28V supply range covers the nominal 12V and 24V automotive and industrial buses, including the cold-crank dip down to 4.5V and the load-dump transient up to 28V, without needing an external pre-regulator. Junction temperature rated to 150°C means the transceiver can sit next to a hot ECU processor or on a firewall-mounted module without derating the bus interface. The SOT-23-14 Thin package (supplier device package 14-SOT-23-THIN) is a surface-mount footprint suited for automated assembly on standard FR4.
