CAN transceiver for the 125°C bus
The TCAN1051HVDRBTQ1 is a Texas Instruments automotive-grade CAN transceiver in the TCAN1051 family, AEC-Q100 qualified for under-hood and chassis-domain deployment. It handles the CAN protocol at 2 Mbps, supporting both classic CAN and CAN FD frames without needing a separate bus-speed switch. The receiver hysteresis of 120 mV rejects common-mode noise on long twisted-pair runs — a real advantage in motor-drive or inverter environments where the bus picks up inverter switching edges. The 8-VSON (3x3 mm) package with wettable flank allows automated optical inspection (AOI) after reflow, a requirement for many Tier-1 automotive builds.
