2 Mbps data rate and half-duplex bus interface
With a 2 Mbps data rate, this transceiver supports CAN FD (flexible data rate) frames for higher-throughput payloads beyond the classic 1 Mbps CAN 2.0 limit. The single driver and single receiver (1/1) handle standard half-duplex bus arbitration. The 120 mV hysteresis on the receiver input filters bus noise, reducing false edge detection on long or noisy harness runs.

The AEC-Q100 automotive grade covers stress tests for temperature, humidity, and ESD that exceed commercial-grade parts. For production BOMs requiring a qualified second source, the TCAN1051 family includes multiple pin-compatible variants differing in supply current and silent-mode features; the base product number TCAN1051 identifies the family.
