Package and mounting — wettable flank for AOI
Housed in an 8-VDFN exposed-pad package (supplier device package 8-VSON, 3 mm × 3 mm), the TCAN1051GVDRBTQ1 features a wettable flank design. This allows automated optical inspection (AOI) of the solder joints after reflow, a requirement in automotive and high-reliability assembly lines where hidden solder defects under standard QFN packages are unacceptable. The exposed thermal pad aids heat dissipation into the PCB ground plane.
