Dual-channel CAN FD transceiver for automotive networks
8 Mbps data rate and CAN FD compatibility
The 8 Mbps data rate is the key differentiator from classical CAN transceivers that top out at 1 Mbps. At this speed the part handles CAN FD payloads with the faster data phase, which is becoming standard in modern automotive ECUs for software updates and high-bandwidth sensor data. The receiver hysteresis of 100 mV provides noise immunity on the bus lines, reducing the risk of false bit detection in electrically noisy environments like a motor drive or engine bay.
The wettable flank feature means the side of the package has a plated surface that wets with solder, so an AOI system can verify the fillet — this is a requirement in many automotive tier-1 assembly specs where hidden solder joints under the package would otherwise be unverifiable.
