The TCAN1042HGDRBTQ1: The 5 Mbps data rate supports CAN FD frames, where the arbitration phase runs at standard CAN speed and the data phase switches to the higher rate.
The wettable flank enables automated optical inspection (AOI) of solder joints, which is a requirement in many automotive and high-reliability assembly lines. The small 3x3 mm footprint saves board area compared to traditional SOIC-8 CAN transceivers.
