Product details

The TCAN1042GDQ1: An ECU or sensor module that sees under-hood or engine-bay ambient temperatures stays within the rated junction temperature without derating the transceiver's own dissipation.

5 Mbps CAN FD — data rate and bus timing

Rated for 5 Mbps — this is CAN FD (flexible data-rate) capable, not the legacy 1 Mbps CAN 2.0 ceiling. The transceiver handles the faster arbitration phase and the data-phase bit timing; the actual bus throughput depends on the MCU's CAN FD controller and the network topology. Single driver and single receiver — one CAN node per package.

Package and board integration

8-SOIC narrow-body, 3.90 mm body width, surface-mount. The 0.154-inch (3.90 mm) width is the standard SOIC-8 footprint — no special pad geometry needed beyond the usual 1.27 mm pitch. ROHS3 compliant — no exemptions for lead in solder or any of the six restricted substances above the threshold.
