27.5 W per channel into 8 Ω — the headline number
The TAS5806MDDCPR delivers 27.5 W per channel into an 8 Ω load, stereo. That is the continuous output power at the rated load — enough to drive a pair of bookshelf speakers in a small-room active speaker or a soundbar without an external amp stage. Class D topology means the output stage switches at high frequency and recovers energy from the load inductance, so efficiency stays above 85 % at full power.
Supply rails and temperature grade
Operates from 1.62 V to 3.63 V on the digital supply — this is the core logic rail, not the power stage. The -25 °C to 85 °C ambient range covers most consumer and industrial audio products; if the enclosure sees direct sun or sits near a hot processor, the 85 °C ceiling is the derating limit. The Auto Level Control feature keeps the output from clipping on transient peaks by dynamically adjusting gain — useful when the input source level varies (line-in vs Bluetooth codec). The input multiplexer lets the host select between two analog input paths without an external mux chip.
It is ROHS3 compliant, so it passes the current EU RoHS exemption limits including lead-free solder finish. Cut Tape is the prototyping option. The 38-TFSOP package with exposed pad is moisture-sensitive; follow the MSL label on the reel for bake requirements before reflow.
