Class D/G mono amplifier for portable and industrial audio
At low signal levels it runs in Class G for better efficiency; at higher output it transitions to Class D to deliver the full 4W into an 8Ω load without a large heatsink. Short-circuit and thermal protection are included on-die, so the amp survives a miswired speaker terminal or a stalled fan in an outdoor telecom enclosure.
The 4W rating into 8Ω is the maximum continuous output per channel before clipping.
TI lists the TAS2552YFFT as Active. That means standard factory lead times through distribution, no last-time-buy clock running, and full datasheet support. The ROHS3 compliance covers the current EU exemption list.
The 30-DSBGA is a wafer-level package with solder balls on the bottom. Reflow profile follows standard JEDEC for lead-free solders.
