PCIe Gen4 redriver — what it does and where it fits
The TI SN75LVPE4410RNQT is a four-channel PCI Express Gen4 redriver that handles 16 Gbps per lane. It sits between the host controller and the connector, cleaning up the signal after a long PCB trace or cable run. Input equalization and output de-emphasis compensate for channel loss, keeping the eye open at the receiver. Packaged in a 40-pin WQFN with exposed pad (6x4 mm), it mounts on the surface and draws 90 mA from a 3.0 to 3.6 V supply. The 70 ps propagation delay is low enough that it won't eat into the PCIe Gen4 timing budget. Operating temperature is 0°C to 70°C — strictly commercial grade. That makes it a fit for servers, storage arrays, and desktop motherboards, but not for extended-temperature industrial or automotive environments.
