FlatLink™ LVDS driver — four channels, one direction
The Texas Instruments SN75LVDS84ADGGR is a 4-channel LVDS driver from the FlatLink™ series, designed to serialize and transmit parallel data over a low-voltage differential signaling link. It integrates four drivers and no receivers, making it a unidirectional transmitter for applications such as flat-panel display interfaces, camera links, and high-speed backplane data transfer.
At 3.0V minimum, the part still meets its specifications, but margin is thin if the rail droops under load — budget for a regulator with tight tolerance. If the ambient inside the chassis exceeds 70°C, look at the industrial-temperature variant in the same family.
Package and footprint — 48-TSSOP layout considerations
The SN75LVDS84ADGGR comes in a 48-TFSOP package with 0.240" body width and 6.10mm width, also referred to as 48-TSSOP. This is a fine-pitch surface-mount package — the 0.5mm lead pitch demands careful stencil design and reflow profile.
