The Texas Instruments SN75LVDS389DBTR is an eight-channel LVDS driver in a 38-pin TSSOP package, designed to serialize parallel data onto low-voltage differential pairs at up to 630 Mbps per channel. With eight drivers and no receivers, this is a unidirectional transmit-side device — it pushes data from a controller or FPGA out to a display panel, backplane, or cable interconnect.

Package and footprint — 38-TSSOP with 0.65 mm pitch
The 38-TSSOP body (4.40 mm width, 0.65 mm pin pitch) is a common footprint shared with other TI LVDS drivers and multiplexers. The Tape & Reel (TR) packaging is the standard for automated pick-and-place; if your line uses tube or tray, verify the reel-to-tube conversion with your distributor. The surface-mount package requires standard reflow profiling — no exposed thermal pad, so thermal dissipation is through the leads only. Keep the supply decoupling close to the VCC pins (pin 38 and pin 19 on the TSSOP-38) to maintain signal integrity at 630 Mbps edge rates.
