16-bit bus transceiver for 3.3V backplanes
The SN74LVCR162245DLR is a 16-bit non-inverting transceiver from TI's 74LVCR series, organized as two 8-bit elements with independent direction and output-enable controls. Each I/O pin sources or sinks 12 mA, which is enough to drive a lightly loaded parallel bus or a bank of address lines on a memory module. The 3-state outputs let multiple transceivers share the same bus without contention — the OE pin pulls the outputs into high-impedance when the local controller is not driving.
The supplier device package is 48-SSOP, which matches the JEDEC MO-118 variation for this lead count.
Temperature grade and operating environment
It is suitable for factory-floor control cabinets, telecom shelters, and outdoor equipment enclosures where the internal temperature stays within this band. The 85°C ceiling is typical for commercial-industrial logic — no derating needed for most indoor deployments.
