Quad XOR gate for automotive signal chains
The SN74LVC86AQDRG4Q1: Four independent XOR gates in a single 14-SOIC package, each with two inputs. The supply range spans 2V to 3.6V, covering the 3.3V and 2.5V rails common in automotive ECUs and sensor interface modules.
Propagation delay and output drive at 3.3V
Maximum propagation delay is 4.6ns at 3.3V with a 50pF load — this sets the data-rate ceiling for the XOR function in the signal path. The 24mA symmetric output drive (source and sink) is sufficient to drive the input capacitance of the next gate stage or a short PCB trace without a buffer. Input logic thresholds are 0.8V low and 2V high at 3.3V supply, compatible with 3.3V CMOS and 2.5V LVCMOS families. Quiescent current is 10µA max, keeping the standby draw negligible in battery-backed modules.
