The Texas Instruments SN74LVC821DBLE is a 10-bit bus driver from the LVC/LCX/Z series, designed to buffer and drive heavily loaded data buses in 3.3 V and mixed-voltage logic systems. Typical applications include memory-address buffering, control-signal fan-out, and general-purpose bus isolation in industrial controllers, telecom line cards, and test equipment where signal integrity over a multi-drop backplane matters.
If your production line is set up for RoHS-compliant reflow profiles (typically 245–260 °C peak), the SnPb finish will reflow at a lower temperature (around 210–220 °C peak). Mixing profiles on the same board risks cold joints on the lead-free parts or overheating the SnPb parts. For prototype runs or repair work where leaded solder is already in use, this is straightforward. For new designs targeting RoHS compliance, you will need an exemption or a pin-compatible lead-free variant from the same LVC family.
Package and mounting
If your assembler requires tape-and-reel for automated placement, you will need to hand-place these or source the tape-and-reel variant of the same device. Bulk also simplifies kitting for small-batch orders.
