Three open-drain channels for mixed-voltage buses
The SN74LVC3G07DCUR packs three independent non-inverting buffers with open-drain outputs into a tiny 8-VSSOP package. Because the outputs are open-drain, multiple channels can be wire-ANDed together on a shared line — handy for interrupt or status lines where any one channel pulling low signals the event. The 74LVC family's 5 V tolerant inputs mean the buffer can accept signals above its own supply without damage, so a 3.3 V powered part can safely listen to a 5 V sensor.
Package and hand-solderability
Housed in the 8-VFSOP (2.30 mm width) and also designated 8-VSSOP, this is a fine-pitch but hand-solderable SMD package. The 0.5 mm lead pitch means a decent iron with a fine tip and some flux will get you there — no hot-air station required. For a weekend prototype, a small SOIC-8 adapter board works; the body is narrow enough that a standard 0.1-inch pitch perfboard won't fit directly. Available in both Tape & Reel and Cut Tape options, so you can grab a handful for breadboarding without committing to a full reel.
