Single-pole analog switch in a 1.4x0.9 mm DSBGA
The Texas Instruments SN74LVC1G66YZPR is a single-pole single-throw (SPST) normally-open analog switch in a 5-bump DSBGA package measuring 1.4x0.9 mm. It routes one analog or digital signal path with a maximum on-resistance of 10 Ohm and a -3dB bandwidth of 300 MHz, making it suitable for RF signal gating, audio muting, and general-purpose signal routing in space-constrained designs.
The 10 Ohm max on-resistance sets the insertion loss floor. For a 300 MHz -3dB bandwidth, the switch passes signals up to VHF with minimal roll-off. The 4.2 ns turn-on and 5 ns turn-off times support fast switching in multiplexed data lines. Channel capacitance of 6 pF (both CS(off) and CD(off)) keeps the off-state isolation reasonable at lower frequencies. The 100 nA max leakage current ensures negligible signal bleed in high-impedance paths.
DSBGA package — layout and rework notes
The tiny footprint saves board area but requires a solder-mask-defined pad layout and a stencil with 0.25 mm apertures for consistent solder paste volume. Reflow profile follows standard lead-free SAC305 with peak temperature 245-260 °C; the package moisture sensitivity level is typically MSL-1, but verify the reel label before bake.
