Active production, wide temp range — the signal-routing workhorse
The Texas Instruments SN74LVC1G3157DCKR is a single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog switch in the 74LVC logic family, built for routing analog or digital signals up to 340 MHz.
15 ohm Ron and 5.2 pF capacitance — the signal-integrity budget
Maximum on-state resistance is 15 ohm, with channel-to-channel matching held to 100 mOhm. For a 50 ohm system, that Ron adds about 0.26 dB insertion loss at DC and shifts the -3 dB corner. The 5.2 pF off-channel capacitance and 7 pC charge injection set the glitch floor when switching between analog channels — relevant for sample-and-hold or audio mux applications where settling time matters.
Maximum turn-on time is 5.7 ns, turn-off 3.8 ns. That gives a theoretical max switching rate around 87 MHz for a 50 % duty-cycle square wave, but in practice the 340 MHz -3 dB bandwidth is the analog throughput limit. The 1 µA max off-leakage keeps the signal path clean when the switch is deselected.
SC-70-6 footprint and supply rails
The part comes in a 6-pin SC-70-6 (SOT-363) package, surface-mount only. The supply range from 1.65 V to 5.5 V means one BOM line covers mixed-voltage designs — the switch passes signals up to the rail voltage. The -54 dB crosstalk at 10 MHz gives enough isolation for multiplexing a 10-bit ADC input or a stereo audio line without channel bleed.
