Single-gate inverting buffer with bus isolation
The SN74LVC1G240DBVT is a single inverting buffer with a 3-state output, part of TI's 74LVC family.
Output drive and signal conditioning
The 32 mA source and 32 mA sink output drive handles standard CMOS and TTL loads, and can drive short PCB traces or a single fan-out to several gates. The inverting path flips the logic sense, useful for active-low enable signals or polarity correction. The 3-state output lets the buffer disconnect from the bus when the output-enable pin is deasserted, allowing multiple drivers to share a line without contention — common in shared data or address buses.
Package and board integration
Housed in a 5-pin SOT-23-5 (SC-74A) package with 0.95 mm lead pitch, the footprint matches standard single-gate logic layouts. The surface-mount package is suited for automated assembly and reflow soldering. Available in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) options for prototyping or production volumes.
