Single-gate Schmitt inverter in a 0.8 mm square package
The SN74LVC1G14DPWR: It operates from 1.65 V to 5.5 V. The Schmitt action provides hysteresis on the input, cleaning up slow or noisy edges for downstream logic. Outputs source and sink 32 mA each. Propagation delay is 5 ns at 5 V with a 50 pF load. The part comes in a 5-X2SON package measuring 0.8 mm x 0.8 mm.
The Schmitt-trigger input thresholds (low: 0.39 V to 1.87 V; high: 1.16 V to 3.33 V) provide noise margin on long traces or in high-EMI environments.
The 32 mA source/sink rating means this single gate can directly drive an indicator LED (with a series resistor) or a low-power relay coil, saving a separate transistor and its bias resistors. The 5 ns propagation delay at 5 V, 50 pF is fast enough for debouncing a mechanical switch or cleaning up a sensor output before feeding an MCU input. Quiescent current maxes at 10 µA, negligible in battery-powered designs.
It is ROHS3 compliant. For new designs or production fills, there is no imminent obsolescence risk.
