Single-bit buffer for mixed-voltage bus isolation
The SN74LVC1G125YZPR is a single-element non-inverting buffer with a 3-state output, part of the 74LVC series from Texas Instruments. The output sinks or sources 32mA (both high and low), which is enough to drive a standard CMOS input or a small LED indicator directly. The 3-state output goes high-impedance when the output-enable pin is deasserted, so multiple buffers can share a bus line without contention.
Housed in a 5-ball DSBGA (1.4x0.9 mm) package, this is a wafer-level chip-scale package — the solder balls are the full footprint. No exposed thermal pad, so thermal dissipation relies on the PCB copper under the package.
The 74LVC family is a mature logic series with broad second-source availability across multiple vendors, so BOM risk is low for volume production.
