Single open-drain buffer for mixed-voltage buses
The SN74LVC1G07DBVT: It accepts a supply voltage from 1.65V to 5.5V, making it useful for level translation between 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V logic domains. This part is commonly used for I²C bus buffering, reset signal steering, and wired-OR interrupt lines where multiple drivers share a common signal.
The wide supply range means this buffer can sit on a 3.3V rail and still cleanly pass a 1.8V input from a low-voltage sensor or MCU. The open-drain output pulls low to ground; the high level is set by whatever voltage the pull-up resistor connects to. That pull-up can be 5V even when the buffer itself runs at 1.8V, which is the standard trick for mixing old 5V peripherals with a 3.3V controller. The 32mA sink rating handles multiple fan-out loads or longer PCB traces without sagging.
