16-bit bus transceiver for mixed-voltage systems
It operates from a 1.65V to 3.6V supply, making it suitable for bridging between 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V logic domains in mixed-voltage designs. The 3-state outputs can sink or source 24mA per channel, enough to drive moderate bus loads or multiple fan-out gates without external buffers.
Industrial temperature range and deployment
The wide supply range also helps with brownout tolerance — the part keeps working down to 1.65V, which covers most cold-crank and sag scenarios on a 3.3V rail.
Footprint and supply rails
The 48-BSSOP body (0.295" wide, 7.50mm) matches the industry-standard SSOP-48 footprint. Decoupling should follow the 74LVC family practice: a 0.1µF ceramic per supply pin pair, placed close to the package. The 1.65V to 3.6V range covers both 1.8V and 3.3V rails, but the input thresholds are CMOS-level, not TTL — so a 1.8V logic input at 1.65V supply is still recognized as high. No level-shifter needed when both sides are within the supply range.
