Signal routing for low-voltage logic
The SN74LVC157AD: This is a 4-channel 2:1 multiplexer — it selects one of two 4-bit data sources and routes them to the output, controlled by a single select line. Each output can source or sink 24mA, enough to drive a standard CMOS input or a low-power LED indicator directly. The single independent circuit means all four mux channels share the same select and enable — you route a whole 4-bit bus in one package.
Board-fit and temperature range
Housed in a 16-SOIC (0.154" body width, 3.90mm), this is a hand-solderable SMD package — fine for prototype boards or rework. The 1.27mm pin pitch gives you room to route traces between pads on a two-layer board.
