Propagation delay and signal integrity for high-speed buses
Maximum propagation delay is 3.7 ns at 3.3V with a 50 pF load. At a 50 pF load — typical for a short PCB trace plus one or two gate inputs — the 3.7 ns figure sets the data-rate ceiling at roughly 135 MHz for a single inverter stage. In practice, the open-drain output's rise time is determined by the external pull-up resistor and load capacitance, so the fall time (the inverter's own drive) is the faster edge.
