205 MHz clock, 2V to 5.5V supply — fits mixed-voltage buses
The SN74LV374ADBR is an 8-bit D-type flip-flop from the 74LV series, clocked at 205 MHz with positive-edge triggering. The wide supply range from 2V to 5.5V means it can sit on a 3.3V microcontroller bus and still accept 5V-tolerant signals without a level shifter — the input thresholds scale with VCC. Output drive is 16 mA per pin in both high and low states, enough to drive a short backplane trace or a few CMOS inputs, but not a relay coil or LED directly — plan a buffer for loads above that. Propagation delay is 10.1 ns max at 5V with 50 pF load, which sets the timing budget for the data setup and hold windows in the receiving device.

Rated for -40°C to 85°C ambient, the SN74LV374ADBR covers the full industrial temperature band — factory-floor PLCs, motor-drive control logic, and outdoor telecom cabinets all fall within this envelope. Texas Instruments lists the product status as Active, and it is ROHS3 compliant.
20-SSOP package — layout checklist
The 20-SSOP body is 5.30 mm wide with 0.65 mm pin pitch. The narrow pitch means the PCB fan-out vias need to be placed between the pads — a 0.30 mm drill with 0.50 mm pad works, but keep the trace width under 0.15 mm to avoid shorting adjacent pins. The supplier device package is 20-SSOP, same as the case code. Input capacitance is 2.9 pF per pin, so the clock line sees a total of about 23 pF from the eight data inputs plus the clock pin itself — a standard 50-ohm source can drive that without a dedicated clock buffer at 205 MHz, but the trace length should be kept under 50 mm to avoid reflections.
