Triple 3-input AND gate for mixed-voltage logic
The SN74LV11ADR from Texas Instruments is a triple 3-input AND gate in the 74LV series, packaged in a 14-SOIC. It operates from 2V to 5.5V, making it a drop-in for both 3.3V and 5V logic rails without a level translator. Each of the three independent gates sinks or sources 12 mA, enough to drive a standard CMOS input or a low-power LED indicator. Propagation delay is 7.9 ns at 5V with a 50 pF load, which keeps timing closure straightforward in most control and data-path applications.
Supply range and logic-level compatibility
The 2V to 5.5V supply range covers 3.3V and 5V logic families. Input thresholds are fixed at 0.5 V low and 1.5 V high, so at 3.3V VCC the gate recognizes a standard 3.3V CMOS high without issue. At 5V VCC, the 1.5 V high threshold gives noise margin against a 5V TTL output. Quiescent current is 20 µA max, so the gate adds negligible standing power to the rail.
