The Texas Instruments SN74HCS244QPWRQ1 is an automotive-qualified (AEC-Q100) octal buffer from the 74HCS family, providing two elements of 4-bit non-inverting buffering with Schmitt-trigger inputs and 3-state outputs.
Schmitt-trigger inputs and 3-state outputs
Schmitt-trigger inputs provide hysteresis that cleans up slow or noisy edges — useful on long PCB traces or harness wires where signal integrity is marginal. The 3-state outputs allow the buffer to be ganged on a shared bus; the high-impedance state disconnects the outputs when the enable is deasserted, avoiding contention.
Housed in a 20-TSSOP (4.40mm width) surface-mount package, the SN74HCS244QPWRQ1 uses a standard octal-buffer footprint shared with many 74-series parts.
It is ROHS3 compliant.
