Automotive 8:1 multiplexer with wide supply tolerance
The SN74HCS151QWBQBRQ1 is a single 8-to-1 data selector/multiplexer from the 74HCS logic family, qualified to AEC-Q100 for automotive applications. It selects one of eight data inputs and routes it to the output based on the three-bit address code. Operating from a 2 V to 6 V single supply with a -40°C to 125°C temperature range, it covers the full automotive under-hood and cabin ambient envelope without derating.
Output drive and package fit for automotive ECUs
Symmetrical output drive of 7.8 mA source and sink at the rated supply voltage means the multiplexer drives standard CMOS logic inputs or low-power loads directly — no external buffer needed for most sensor-to-ECU signal muxing. Housed in a 16-lead WQFN with exposed thermal pad (2.5 x 3.5 mm body, supplier package 16-WQFN), the footprint is compact enough for space-constrained engine control unit layouts. The exposed pad must be soldered to a ground-plane thermal land for rated power dissipation.
Active production — no obsolescence risk for new designs
Texas Instruments lists the SN74HCS151QWBQBRQ1 as Active with no end-of-life notice. It is suitable for both new automotive designs and existing BOM lines without a last-time-buy window to manage.
