Inverting 3-state buffer for 5V and 3.3V bus isolation
The Texas Instruments SN74HC368PW is a dual-element inverting buffer with 3-state outputs, part of the 74HC family.
2V to 6V supply — where it works and where it doesn't
The 2V to 6V supply range covers 3.3V and 5V rails cleanly. At 5V the HC family's noise margin is generous; at 3.3V the margins shrink but still meet the 0.8V/2.0V TTL thresholds if the downstream logic is 3.3V LVCMOS. Don't push it below 2V — the HC family doesn't guarantee operation at 1.8V, so if your board has a 1.8V bus you need an AHC or LVC part instead.
16-TSSOP footprint — what the board sees
The part comes in a 16-TSSOP package (4.40mm body width) with a 0.65mm lead pitch. It's a surface-mount package that reflows with a standard lead-free profile. No exposed pad, so thermal dissipation goes through the leads — fine for the sub-10mA output currents this part sees.
