2V–6V supply rail — what it means for 5V logic
The SN74HC367DT is a hex non-inverting buffer with 3-state outputs from Texas Instruments' 74HC family. The 3-state outputs let multiple drivers share a common data line by disabling all but one at a time, a standard trick for multiplexed address or data busses in microcontroller and DSP systems. Each of the two elements drives up to 7.8 mA per output (both high and low), plenty for driving a few CMOS loads or a short PCB trace. The 16-SOIC footprint matches the industry-standard body width, so it drops onto existing board layouts without a respin.
Industrial temperature and supply margin
The 2V–6V supply window gives headroom: at 5V ±10% the part still runs inside its guaranteed operating region, and at 3.3V it works without a regulator change.
Texas Instruments lists the SN74HC367DT as an active product. ROHS3 compliant, so it passes current European and global restriction directives. For a production BOM line, this means no near-term obsolescence risk and no compliance paperwork gap.
