Switching and drive characteristics
The SN74HC32PWT: Maximum propagation delay is 17 ns at 6 V with a 50 pF load — enough margin for clocked buses running below 20 MHz, but the actual toggle rate at the receiver sees additional delay from the output rise time into the board's trace capacitance. Each output sources or sinks 5.2 mA, which drives a standard LSTTL load or a CMOS input on the same board without a buffer. Quiescent current maxes at 2 µA across the full supply range, so the gate's own draw is negligible in battery-powered or always-on subsystems.
Package and procurement note
Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) — the TR quantity suits production reels for automated pick-and-place; CT is available for prototyping or small-batch builds.
