XNOR with open-drain — wired-OR ready
The SN74HC266NSR: This is a quad 2-input XNOR gate with open-drain outputs. The open-drain stage lets multiple gate outputs connect to a common pull-up resistor for wired-OR bus arbitration — a topology common in shared interrupt lines or multi-sensor polled interfaces. The output sinks 5.2 mA and the high side is pulled up externally, so the logic-high voltage is set by the pull-up rail, not VCC.
Supply range and propagation delay
Supply voltage spans 2V to 6V, covering 3.3V and 5V logic families without a translator. Propagation delay is 23 ns max at 6V with a 50 pF load — fast enough for most control and status-handling loops below 10 MHz. Quiescent current is 2 µA max, keeping the static power draw negligible in battery-backed or always-on sections.
14-SOIC package and temperature grade
Housed in a 14-SOIC package with a 0.209-inch body width and 5.30 mm height — a common footprint shared with many 74HC logic parts. Surface-mount assembly with Tape & Reel or Cut Tape options.
