Active 74HC octal bus transceiver in 20-TSSOP
The SN74HC245PWR is an active-production octal bus transceiver from Texas Instruments' 74HC family, packaged in a 20-TSSOP (4.40 mm width) for surface-mount assembly. It provides eight bidirectional data paths with non-inverting 3-state outputs, controlled by a direction (DIR) and output-enable (OE) pin.
Supply range and output drive
The 7.8 mA symmetric output drive (source and sink) at the rated supply is sufficient for driving light LED indicators, short PCB traces, or the input of a downstream CMOS gate, but not for high-capacitance backplanes or long cables.
