Active 74HC inverting buffer — still a production part
It operates from a 2V to 6V supply and delivers 7.8mA per channel in both high and low states. The 20-TSSOP package suits surface-mount assembly on dense PCBs.
The 7.8mA output current is typical for HC-family parts — enough to drive a few CMOS inputs or a short trace, but not a 50Ω backplane. If you need more fan-out, look at the ABT or LVT families.
Industrial temperature and 3-state control
The 3-state outputs allow multiple buffers to share a data bus — the output enable pin disables all eight channels, putting them in high-impedance.
