Dual 4:1 multiplexer in a 16-SOIC footprint
The SN74F153D is a dual 4:1 multiplexer from the 74F family, packing two independent 4-input selector circuits into a single 16-SOIC package.
Output current capability is asymmetric: 1 mA sourcing (logic high) and 20 mA sinking (logic low). The 20 mA sink is enough to drive a standard TTL input or a low-power LED indicator directly, but the 1 mA source limits fan-out when driving multiple CMOS loads — check the input current of the receiving devices if the bus fans out beyond four loads.
